Cody + Patty | Kentucky Wedding Photographer | Riverside Gardens

I met Patty nearly a year ago at Cody’s brother’s wedding (how cute are Jake + Becca). Of course I noticed she was wearing an engagement ring and was disappointed to find out she already had a wedding photographer booked. Not only because she is absolutely stunning but because she was SO sweet and thoughtful. She wasn’t in Becca’s wedding party but stepped in and helped fix the bride’s hair and just be helpful in any way possible. I adored her from the day I met Patty, as I’m sure many people do.

Fast forward a few months later and I get a message from Patty about her photographer going out of town for her wedding date… we were both SO EXCITED I was still available! Since I already knew Cody + Patty (and Cody’s family) from last year’s wedding, I knew it was going to be a fun day and, let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Check out those reception photos at the end! THAT is how you party hard.

WARNING: OVER-BLOGGING IN PROGRESS

Yeaahhhhh, I tried really hard to narrow this down to fewer images but it’s SO HARD when you have a day as beautiful as this one. When my husband and I were youth pastors Ashley was in our youth group. Ashley was one of the only kids we were privileged to have in the youth group for all 6 years. She has always been hilarious, hard-working, and caring. I was so honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding & my husband to officiate. (heyyy hottie husband).

We love you guys so much! Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your day.

Josiah + Bethany | Cincinnati Engagement Photographer

There are a lot of words to be said here. I want to save some of my extreme sentiment for the wedding blog post but here’s what you should know: Bethany is my niece. My oldest niece. I was 13 when she was born so I was prime babysitting age for her and her brother. They even lived with us for a little while when I was a teenager. Basically it boils down to this: we’re close. I feel incredibly protective of her so when she told me she was going to marry Josiah I wasn’t ready for it. (She’s 2 years older than I was when I got married, she was ready… I just wasn’t). But then this boy started coming around and the more I’ve gotten to know him, the more I love him. I’m excited to capture your wedding day but even more excited to do life beside you guys and see where Jesus takes you.

Ps. Stop being the cutest humans on the planet. Enough, already!

Maxwell James | Cincinnati Newborn Photographer

These two parents have great taste is kid’s names. It’s so funny, all four of the names they chose for their boys (Graham Henry + Max James) are in my family! Their Max is a Maxwell and mine is a Maximus, but it still counts. I’ve been photographing them since Graham was 6 months old & I absolutely love him. He’s so funny, and spunky, and wild! I can’t wait to see if Max will have a similar personality or be more laid back. Thanks for inviting me into your home, it was so great to see you all again!

Tyler Lee | Cincinnati Birth Photographer | UC West Chester

Births are amazing. I am honestly never more honored than when a family trusts me to be involved in this; one of the most intimate, beautiful, and life-changing moments. Anna was such a sweet, joyful, and strong mama and Brian was an incredible supporter. Tyler’s birth was so peaceful and beautiful, I would be ecstatic to photograph 100 more just like it. Congratulations, you two. Tyler is perfect + so loved already.

Emma Belle | Cincinnati Senior Photographer

Emma is my cousin’s daughter, but I like to think of her & her sister as my “bonus nieces”. I called Emma and told her about the hot air balloon festival at Coney Island and asked her what she thought about doing senior pictures during it. She was down for anything and I think her adorable, eclectic style was completely PERFECT for this. Thanks for making my vision come to life with your fierce modeling skills, Emma. Love youuuuu!

Zach + Jenesis | Cincinnati Family Photographer

A little over a year ago I stepped out of my comfort zone and attended a gathering of Cincinnati creatives through The Rising Tide. I’m so incredibly glad I did. That night I met so many talented and beautiful people. One of them was Jenesis. She is the artist behind Pied Paper Goods and she’s one of the kindest humans I’ve met. Zach, Jenesis, and a few other friends also opened up an AMAZING coffee shop in my neighborhood last year called Brick Coffee. (Go check it out, it’s seriously YUM!). Just to round off all the things on their plate; he’s a teacher, she’s a nanny and a worship pastor. Seriously guys, way to make us all seem totally lazy. And if you talk to either one of them they are willing to sacrifice what little time they have left to love on other people. Thank you both for being a great example of the sacrificial love of Christ. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!

Hugo + Michelle + Lucy | Cincinnati Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

People sometimes ask me if I’m sad that my husband and I are done having babies. My response is, “No way! I get to cuddle them all the time without having to stay up all night.” Serious job perks! This sweet little squish also shares a name with my oldest which makes her even more special to me. I ADORE in home newborn sessions. They’re comfortable, sweet, and relaxed. Thank you, Hugo + Michelle for inviting me into your home and letting me cuddle your beautiful new babe.
