Huckleberry Fox | Cincinnati Birth Photographer

Oh hey there. It’s been EXTREMELY quiet around here. As in, I haven’t blogged since December! Honestly, it was a much needed break. But, there is nothing like a birth to bring me out of blog-retirement! People often ask me what my favorite thing to photograph is and my answer doesn’t change… births + weddings. Don’t get me wrong, families, seniors, and engagements are so much fun too but there is something about capturing these life-changing, high-stakes, unable to redo moments that just makes me smile from ear to ear with joy.

 

John + Emma have been waiting for this little miracle baby for 3.5 years. Needless to say, there was not a dry eye in the room (including mine).

Nick + Andrea + Noah + Neve | Cincinnati Family Photographer

I swear I don’t order my families from a model catalog. I know I say this a lot but this family is crazy beautiful!! I had so much fun playing with Noah. His mom and dad are clearly smitten with this sweet, funny, playful little guy. I can’t wait to meet miss Neve next year. Sweetest little family ever.

Madisen was literally such a CHAMP on Archer’s birth day. First of all, she was more than a week overdue. And THEN she pushed for 3 hours. Oh my goodness, she was tired but such a strong human. Meanwhile, can you just see the love and support pouring out of Matthew? These two were amazing! Thank you for trusting me to be a part of one of the best days of your lives.

Hugo + Michelle + Baby Girl | Cincinnati Maternity Photographer

Sometimes when I meet people I’m like, “Ohmygosh, will you be my best friend?” No, joke these two (three!) humans are so funny and genuine I just want to hang out with them. Their kid is going to be extra cool and extra loved. We laugh SO much during our session and just had a blast getting to know each other. Here’s to hoping I’m in town when she has this sweet baby girl so I can come photograph her adorable little face at the hospital.

Side note: HOLY COW Michelle is gorgeous and all belly at 8 months prego.

Jon + Katy | Cincinnati Maternity Photographer

When I say I have never laughed so hard at a session it is no exaggeration. From panthers to My Best Friend’s Wedding… these two just get me. You’ll see below that we had a hard time keeping a straight face through this whole session and I couldn’t be happier about it. I adore when couples & families interact with each other comfortably in front of the camera and Jon + Katy definitely did. They are going to make amazing parents to this sweet baby girl! I can’t wait to find out her name in a few short weeks.

 Something may have been said about Jon being a prospector.

Ryan + Hannah + Nati + Coors + Oliver | Cincinnati Maternity Photographer

I have photographed Ryan + Hannah quite a few times in the last 3 years including their wedding day so I was totally stoked when they contacted me about maternity photos. One of my favorite things about my job is getting to watch my couples and families grow. It’s such an honor to be asked to photograph each milestone and know that these are photos that they will cherish forever. Photos that their little ones will hold in their hands one day and study how their mom and dad looked when they were excitedly awaiting they arrival. Jesse + Jazmine + Baby Boy | Cincinnati Maternity Photographer

When Jazmine asked me if I had any spots in mind for their session, I knew exactly where I wanted to go! A greenhouse, across from a lake? Uhhh yes please! Bonus: A wildflower field! All my favorite locations wrapped up in one session.

I simply cannot wait to meet the sweet boy. He is going to be the coolest kid around, mostly because his parents are the most precious humans on the planet. I love them both (all 3!) so much. I’m thankful God put you in our lives & I can’t wait to see you both be amazing parents.

Jake + Jade + Baby | Cincinnati Maternity Photographer

I actually GASPED while editing this session. Can we talk about how stunning this momma-to-be is? It helps that I love her to pieces. Jade was in our youth group many moons ago and now she’s a wife and a momma. It makes my heart happy to see her so happy. Jake and Jade make each other laugh a lot, I’m betting Joseph is going to have the BEST little personality. I can’t wait to see this sweet boy’s face in a few months.

Ps. Who actually looks this good while pregnant?! SHESH!

Jesse + Jazmine + Baby | Cincinnati Family Photographer

Had you ever met someone that you instantly knew you were going to love? That’s how I felt with Jazmine… friendship at first sight. And I wasn’t wrong. She is one of those people that you could vacation with. You know, how you have lots of friends that you love, and plenty that you’d have a sleepover with, but only a few that you’d want to go on an extended trip with? This girl. And I’m pretty certain my husband feels the same way about Jesse. These are just lovely humans. Oh, I forgot to mention that I’ve been mentoring Jazmine! If you’re getting married this year and I’m shooting your wedding chances are, you’ll get to meet her! Unless it’s in October because BABY BOWMAN is coming this fall!! Congratulations, you two I love you both to the moon!
