If you’ve followed along my photography journey for any amount of time you have probably seen this gorgeous couple plastered all over my web page. Well, they had a child and she’s absolutely perfect. Miss Gwendolyn Faye is so beautiful and so so so loved. Welcome to the FRamily, little lady.
Guys, this photo. It made me gasp. It made me tear up remembering nursing my own sweet babes for the first time.
Tyler + Baihley’s wedding was my very last wedding of the year. It was also one of the hardest weddings to blog. Not for lack of beautiful shots, quite the opposite. I’ve tried SO SO SO hard to narrow this down but I can’t seem to take any more photos out because I love their love. So many times during their day they were surrounded by tons of people but I’m not sure they even knew. It was just the two of them all day long. In their own little “love bubble”.
A few things I should mention… Tyler is a photographer and scoped out the church’s dilapidated balcony for their first look. SERIOUSLY?? GORGEOUS! Also, the park we did photos at is in my neck of the woods, and I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity and the perfect couple to use it. NAILED IT!!

Olivia is absolutely stunning! It was no surprise to me either because I shot her sister’s senior pictures 2 years ago. Beautiful genes obviously run strong in this family! Shout out to my girl Sarah Crain for always doing an amazing job on hair & make up for my lovely senior girls.
I have photographed Ryan + Hannah quite a few times in the last 3 years including their wedding day so I was totally stoked when they contacted me about maternity photos. One of my favorite things about my job is getting to watch my couples and families grow. It’s such an honor to be asked to photograph each milestone and know that these are photos that they will cherish forever. Photos that their little ones will hold in their hands one day and study how their mom and dad looked when they were excitedly awaiting they arrival. Thank you for trusting me with these beautiful milestones.
I had so much fun exploring Krohn’s with these 4. Ava and Reagan thought it was super cool and we all got to stay warm on this super chilly November day. And talk about style!! These four nailed it with their fall colors! Great job, guys!
When I shared Jake + Becca’s sneak peek the day after their wedding I mentioned how sweet they were. Becca was so chill and even when things didn’t go perfectly she had a, “No big deal, we will fix it!” kind of attitude. Jake + Becca thought so much of the other people surrounding them on their big day. They said hello to strangers and told them they “hoped they had a great life” while we were taking wedding portraits. It’s so refreshing to witness two people who genuinely care about others and are constantly thinking about them, even on a day that is “supposed” to be all about you! You guys are awesome and I’m so incredibly honored I got to be a part of your beautiful day!
So, today my girl turned 7. I’m going to try really really hard not to get so sappy that I make myself cry. My labor was long, (28 hours) hard, (2 hours of pushing) and exhausting. The first year with Lucy was much more of the same. She was up every night EVERY. SINGLE. HOUR. for the first 5 months, didn’t sleep through the night until she was 1 year old, and was colicky. Man, it was beyond tiring. I’m mostly going to remind myself of this today because as I scroll through baby pictures of this girl she had the best cheeks of life. I’m only kidding a little when I tell you I measure the cuteness of babies on their cheek size. Jesus must have known I needed a chipmunk-cheeked kid and gave me Lucy Nadine. See the cheeks?!
Now that she’s no longer a baby, I can tell you she is NOTHING like she was as an infant. She is sweet, she loves BIG, and she is my helper. The other day I had her do some chores before we had guests over and she cleaned the bathroom, cleaned her room + made her bed, and then asked if she could take over sweeping for me. When we were done she looked at me and said, “Mom, is there anything else I can do for you?” All of the stress of having a spotless home melted away and I responded, “Let’s cuddle!” Her sweet little face lit up like Christmas. And then I talked to her about The 5 Love Languages and which ones we each thought applied best to us. I told her “acts of service” was one of the top ways I felt love and we came to the conclusion that “physical touch” was one of hers! I knew she wanted to speak my love language so I was so excited to be able to speak her’s back. It’s so cool how God uses kids to help us learn more about Him and the way He loves us. I’m eternally grateful He saw fit to gift us with this sweet girl to raise and to teach about Him. Happy Birthday, Lu. We love you so much!
7 lbs 6 ounces of pure cheeks.
I was told recently when you have friends who become family, they’re called your framily. Well, these 4 are definitely our framily. I just love them so much and I’m so thankful for their new sweet boy, Jonas. Bonus: He’s SUUUPER cute! Love you guys, thanks for trusting me to photograph your babe, I know how much you all adore having your picture taken.
We had so much fun laughing together at Jack + Kayla’s engagement session. Ok, so maybe they were laughing at me but I’ll take it! Can we just take a minute and quickly talk about how beautiful their smiles are? One day, they are going to have babies with great teeth! I’m just saying…
This boy made me an aunt for the first time. I was 11 when he was born, the perfect babysitting age as he grew. I MAYYYY have even saved his life when he was choking on a sucker at the age of 3. And Joanna, who would have thought after all these years of being your youth leaders, your pastors, and your friends we would end up family? No one but Jesus saw this beautiful connection coming. It all boils down to this, I love you both so much and I’m so excited to see what Jesus does through your marriage. And I’m totally NOT tearing up as I’m blogging these images of your love.
