Ryan + Beth | Jamaica Wedding Photographer

Ryan + Beth renewed their vows in Jamaica and celebrated 10 years of marriage. Couples Resorts was so great to work with and did a beautiful job setting up the ceremony and a little reception for the 4 of us. Ryan + Beth asked us to stand next to the during the ceremony so all of these shots were right after. As I said last week, I didn’t expect to cry but I totally teared up (and Ryan called me out on it) during their vows. They’ve faced quite a few difficulties in the last 10 years and it has been such and encouragement to me to see them walk through it all with grace and trust in God. I love you both so much!

Bradley + Joanna | Cincinnati Wedding Photography

I feel like I said all the sentimental aunt-things in their engagement blog post. But maybe I can squeeze in just a few more.

Bradley, I’m so incredibly proud of the man you have become. I don’t get to take much credit for it but I like to think those toddler years spent watching Barney with me helped, and maybe the teenage years you spent in our youth group. But, lets be honest, most of the maturing and growing up you’ve done was by God’s grace and because of your compassion and love for others.

Joanna, I know I already sent you this text but the photo of your sister hugging you makes me weep. She + I sat and had many discussions and prayed for you so many times. I’m just so incredibly grateful for where you are now and how far you’ve come. I love you both so much and I’m so happy I got to be a part of your big day.

 

Ps. I’m going to try not to overload you on the boat pictures but….. HELLO EPIC! Shout out to Katie’s Blooms for flowering them and Lyndsay from Lake Lyndsay for supplying that gorgeous boat. Without you my boat-dreams wouldn’t have come true!

Michael + Natalie | Portland Wedding Photography

When Natalie wrote to me about their intimate, family-centered, Portland wedding I was so excited!! They are adorably and deeply in love. Chelsea was REALLY hoping for snow on her wedding day. Instead, we got rain. SO MUCH RAIN. I have to tell you, I wasn’t disappointed. The rain added something beautiful and special to their photos. I ADORE a bride who is down for anything, even getting her dress soaked before the ceremony. While we’re on the subject of her dress… HOLY WOW! Her groom’s reaction says it all. This dress was made for Chelsea. Congratulations, you two, your day was a perfect representation of both of you… heart-felt, sooo fun, and stunning!

Tyler + Baihley | Cincinnati Wedding Photographer

Tyler + Baihley’s wedding was my very last wedding of the year. It was also one of the hardest weddings to blog. Not for lack of beautiful shots, quite the opposite. I’ve tried SO SO SO hard to narrow this down but I can’t seem to take any more photos out because I love their love. So many times during their day they were surrounded by tons of people but I’m not sure they even knew. It was just the two of them all day long. In their own little “love bubble”.

A few things I should mention… Tyler is a photographer and scoped out the church’s dilapidated balcony for their first look. SERIOUSLY?? GORGEOUS! Also, the park we did photos at is in my neck of the woods, and I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity and the perfect couple to use it. NAILED IT!!

Jake + Becca | Cincinnati Wedding Photography

When I shared Jake + Becca’s sneak peek the day after their wedding I mentioned how sweet they were. Becca was so chill and even when things didn’t go perfectly she had a, “No big deal, we will fix it!” kind of attitude. Jake + Becca thought so much of the other people surrounding them on their big day. They said hello to strangers and told them they “hoped they had a great life” while we were taking wedding portraits. It’s so refreshing to witness two people who genuinely care about others and are constantly thinking about them, even on a day that is “supposed” to be all about you! You guys are awesome and I’m so incredibly honored I got to be a part of your beautiful day!
