When Mikala and Jordan met with me for the first time they told me natural, candid photos and TONS of details were so important to them. HELLO DREAM CLIENTS! Not only are they adorable and madly in love with each other but they are also madly in love with Jesus and met in youth group. They are both artists (music & design) and were totally up for anything. Let me just say, when you trust your photographer with your timeline and with location, and you are given a stinking perfect day… your photos are going to be INCREDIBLE!
You guys are the best, Congratulations!
Casey + Shannon are absolutely adorable. They were worried they would look awkward in their photos (aren’t we all?) but look how CUUUUTTTEEEE they are! I also realized how much I say the word, “cute” during engagement sessions. It’s a lot but it’s always true. I love love, so I’m thinking I picked the right profession. I can’t wait to capture your wedding next year, you two!
Uhhhhh ok you two, just so much cute.
Olivia said at the beginning of our session that Alex wasn’t too sure about engagement photos but, can we just pause a second and say, HE WAS THE CUTEST! So sweet and totally down for all of my interactive prompts. Usually guys look at me like I’m totally ridiculous when I tell them things like, “Ok, let’s do a piggy back ride but run towards me”… and then I yell, “OK SPIN SPIN!!!” but Alex was down for it all. And then let’s add the completely gorgeous Olivia on top of that, along with the best sunset I’ve had in weeks and you’ve got yourself a perfect engagement session with an amazing couple. If this is any indication of your wedding next year, it’s going to be THE BEST!!
Miss Gwen is turning one! How is that remotely possible? This sweet tiny babe that I took photos of in the hospital hours after she was born is almost one? This last year has just flown by. You know, I never understood the saying, “The days are long but the years are short” until I became a mother. Cherish these sweet moments, friends. Before you know it you’re kids will be in school and you’ll be wondering where your babies went.
It’s so great when your clients trust you completely! I’ve been suggesting this location to clients left an right and finally got someone to tae me up on the offer! The Taft Art Museum has a crazy cool lawn installment by artist, Patrick Dougherty. I totally dig how these turned out, it helps that Jillian is stunning and so incredibly sweet! I can’t wait to see more of your adventures (hopefully to Australia!) next year.
Sean + Lindsey came down from Wisconsin for their engagement photos and they said it has been SO COLD and snowy in Wisconsin already. They ended up with one of the most gorgeous evenings we have had in Cincinnati in a long time. With all the rain and clouds we have had lately this stunning sunset was a welcome change of pace.
Also, how adorable is their love? If you ever wonder how I get natural reactions, let’s just say their session involved talk of mustard and hot tubs (not together, that’s weird).
The hardest part about this blog post was coming up with the right words to display how special these two are to me. I shared a little bit on their engagement post but here we go…
Bethany is a beautiful, smart, talented, creative and determined woman. She loves Jesus with all her heart and has done some incredible things for Him already at the age of 20. Ever since she was a very little girl, she has been an amazing giver. She started buying our whole (large) family Christmas gifts with her own money when she was in elementary school. She travelled for 9 months with The World Race to tell others about Jesus. And she has worked tirelessly for the last year volunteering with a women’s ministry in Cincinnati while running a coffee shop that donated funds to help women in sex trafficking. What I’m trying to say is, she is beautiful inside and out. She’s one of the most selfless people I know. I look up to her. She inspires me to be more like Jesus.
Josiah is funny, kind, so intelligent and a deep feeler. He has a passion for Christ that is so beautiful and bold. He stops in the grocery to share the Gospel with anyone who will listen. Josiah leans on Christ to be his strength when things are hard. He works hard and loves people deeply. He also has a heart for missions and has gone to many countries to spread tell people about the love of Jesus.
Together, these two are going to be unstoppable. I can honestly say I can’t begin to image how they are going to change the world. I love you both so much!
